With the WESG 2017 World Finals behind us after fnatic took the $800,000 first place prize, here is a recap of some of the action that went down last week in Haikou.
The second WESG Finals took place in Haikou last week, with teams such as SK, Envy, BIG, AGO, GODSENT, or Space Soldiers in attendance. It was ultimately fnatic who took it, beating the aforementioned Turkish side in two maps in the grand final, while the Russian mix team formed by Denis "seized" Kostin, Mihail "Dosia" Stolyarov, Georgi "WorldEdit" Yaskin, Denis "electroNic" Sharipov, and Dmitry "hooch" Bogdanov came in third after beating the tournament darkhorse, TeamOne.
